Consignment Is An Easy Way To
S-T-R-E-T-C-H
Your Family's Clothing Budget.
With a little effort, you'll see a real difference in what you invest in quality
fashions at a fraction of the cost.
Basically, the concept
of consignment brings buyer and seller (consignor) together through our store... well organized, pleasant, and staffed with people who know customer service and value.
Second Childhood has been fine-tuning this process since 1987.
Sooooo......... a
consignor cleans closets and finds those things that are no longer needed. The first and most important step as the consignor is to look at your things with the eye of
a shopper. Would I buy this if it still fit; is it the right color
or fashion, or would I give it to a favorite niece or nephew? That means that
all the things with flaws, damage, stains, holes, tears, or things that are really out-dated
should go into a donate pile. The wonderful things that someone else would love can then go to Second Childhood.
Be sure to check this web site often to get the specifics on things like...
When the seasons change for consignments.
We accept things according to season, just like department stores! We want the
things on the floor that people are looking for, when they want them.
How to prepare your treasures for their trip to Second Childhood.
We require items to be laundered or drycleaned, free of flaws, and delivered to us on hangers, never in boxes or bags.
It saves lots of time when they are being processed. The goal is to get them to us in the best condition so we can price and sell them quickly for you.
If you are a new consignor with Second
Childhood, a minimum of 10 items is required to start an
account.
How the consignor gets $$$
PAID $$$
Every month we return
a percentage of each sale to you. And, when proceeds are available you may buy yourself something new off the racks, in lieu of receiving cash or check.
Either way, you're a pretty smart shopper and you will feel GREAT about your new way to save money.
